Hurricane Matthew gets closer to Cuba and threats to go through eastern Cuban provinces. In Holguín, people make arragements to overpass all kinds of dangers.

Gibara I: While Waiting

Gibara is always a temptation to photograph. It is impossible to keep the lens covered. Thus pictures were taken as I waited, strolling around, for the III Stereo G Electronic Music Festival to kick off.

Infantile Carnavals in Holguín

The infantile carnaval began in Holguín city with a parade  through the Libertadores Avenue.The party still goes on with magitians performance , clowns and other shows by the Calixto García baseball park.

Electronic Music in Cuban sea town of Gibara

The III Stereo G Festival of Electronic Music took place in the municipality of Gibara, 38 km away from Holguín, Cuba during August one, two and three sponsored by the Hermanos Saíz Association, the Cuban ministry of Culture representation at these levels, Red Bull, Bucanero, Havana Club and to a lesser extent by the recording company EGREM, Artex and other companies that promote young Djs's of the country.

Among artists invited were the host project ELECTROZONA with the Djs Tiko sk8 and Dj Pika, as well as Dj Alex6 Music of Holguín, César M, Jordezz and Djoy from Havana, Dj Joker of Camaguey and PAUZA also from Habana.

The appointment took place at the sand of Gibara's beach located when driving into the city (camping site stand), for the third time, to gather young people from all over the Island that practice this genre in today’s musical Cuban panorama.

Almost Ready Calixto García Ballpark for Cuban's Elete Campaign

The Calixto García  Stadium is ready to welcome the local team, Holgín, and visitors one for the second part of the Cuban Baseball National Series that begins today at 7:30, Cuban hour, this time facing Industriales, the team that represents the capital of the Island.

Rene González, one of the Cuban Fives, Visits University of Holguín

The Heroe of the Cuban Republic René González, one of the Cuban Fives Heroes four of which are still in USA prisons, visited this morning the Humanity School of the University of Holguín.

Iberoamerican cultural peoples diversity paraded last Octuber 25 through Holguín's city streets where international, national and local artists delegations showed their art and costumes during the 19th Iberoamericna Cultural Festival.
