Ike Hurricane’s Consequences in Holguin City

Ike hurricane buried a car.
Ike hurricane hit Holguín through Lucrecia Cape north of the municipality of Banes, at 21:01 local time with heavy winds, steady 195 km per hours and 261 in gusts, but little rain.

After leaving Banes with over 20 000 affected houses and numerous damages in the economy, it went on to the municipalities of Rafael Freyre, Gibara, Calixto García and the city of Holguín.

Gibara and Banes remain out of communication. The municipalities of Moa, Mayarí, Antilla, Sagua de Tánamo, Báguano and Cueto underwent furthermore, but not that much, the outcomes of Ike hurricane.

The images down belong to Holguín city; formerly with a visible green color from its natural lookout the Hill of the Cross', now it seems a lost city in the middle in the jungle.
People are being evacuated to more secure places.
